A quickie with more to come....

So things have been busy and I have a ton of pictures to edit and post. Here are some that I gathered just before events went wild. I thought I would post these and then follow up with bigger posts that include more visiting friends, more events and festivals and a trip to Nebraska (yes Nebraska). I have 1200 pictures to go through from the Nebraska trip alone so there will be quite a bit of pictures to see soon. Enjoy this quickie and look forward to a few full posts coming soon.

A nice shot of a bike rider and his Fixie in The Mission

Sunday Streets is an event put on by The City. They close major streets to traffic and open them up to biking, walking, rollerblading and any other form of fun transportation you can think of. Vendors come out of the woodwork to sell you all kind of fun things. They started this last summer and I am sure will continue it in the following years. I only took one picture at this event last summer and it can be found in this post.

Dana (one of Donna's college friends) came to visit us and we had a great time. Here we are at the Ferry Building enjoying Boccalone Salame.

Here is a nice silhouette of Donna and Dana with Treasure Island in the background.

Donna and Dana enjoying Dana's Iphone at The Irish Bank.

A good shot of Donna at one of our favorite Koran joints.

Donna enjoying a Korean BBQ rib.

A fun shot of one of the tall buildings in The Financial District.

That's all for now but check back soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Pride 2009: Out In The Sun

The City must have realized that clothing is not important during Pride Weekend so it put aside it's foggy summer weather and brought out the sun and warm weather. This created a chain reaction that got the city hopping. Folks from all walks of life took to the streets to celebrate diversity and we were there. Screenshots or it didn't happen you say? Very Well. On with the screenshots.

This was actually taken the week before Pride in Dolores Park. Dolores Park is broken up with invisible lines. It supports many different groups of people. This was taken on the Castro side where sunbathing is king.

Market St. is all decked out for Pride.

Pink is never more in than during the Pride Parade.

The Pride Parade celebrates many groups. This is one of the more conservative groups.

Color and crowds are the main ingredients in the Pride Parade.

I think this group left their costumes on from Carnival.

Virgin Atlantic had a big presence.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were in attendance.

Donna and I decided this guy chose wresting just for the outfit.

Platinum is in!

Even the statues are dressed appropriately for Pride.

If this float is rocking, it's probably Pride weekend.

The Wilde West is fabulous during Pride.

I think she still had her Tibetan Fair face paint on.

Tut tut looks like rain.

This picture is very familiar. Donna says you don't buy big flags like this and only use them once.

I'm not sure what he was saying but I think it was, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Having your fly down is embarrasing no matter where you are. I called him over after this shot and pointed out the problem and it was rectified right away.

All shapes and sizes march in the Pride Parade.

I thought this was great product placement for UHaul. Leather Ducky, what's your 10-20?

All types come to celebrate. I didn't even know about the Hatfield and or McCoy type until this year.

Where else can you show off your designer underwear during a parade?

More proof that Pink is in.

Goodbye for now!

That's it for now but I have more pictures and more adventures to post soon. Thanks for coming by.
