On this day in 2004 we went to Gordo's place for an Oscar Party. He would host one every year. The highlights were the martinis and the prizes if you guessed enough of the winners. It's one of the parties we miss the most.

Note - So I write these in batches and put them up to post on the day I choose. I wrote this one 4 or 5 times and Google kept posting it the moment I hit the publish button instead of waiting for 2/19/10 like I was asking it to. Turns out Google is smarter than me. There is no 2/29/10 so we would have to wait for 2012 to see this picture taken on leap year in 2004. I don't have that kind of patience so here it is for today. :)

Recycle day at POV! The E-Waste truck came to visit and we filled it up with old computers, monitors and printers. We had an entire third floor in our building to throw broken crap and we finally decided to clear it out.

On this day we celebrated the February Birthdays. Tony was up to something that involved Sean's slice of cake. I'm not sure how this ended but I am sure there was cleanup involved.

On this day in 2008 we took Darrin to WonderCon. It was fun. We are able to get industry badges through LucasArts. Part of the fun is walking past all of the people waiting in line that really want to be there more than us. I caught Darrin taking a photo of someone taking a photo of Yoda.

On this day Darrin was still visiting and he wanted to go tea shopping. We took him to a top rated tea shop in Chinatown. It turned out he wasn't looking for Chinese tea. He was looking for tea with orange peels in it. We found that at the mall.

On this day in 2008 I walked home from a downtown event and stopped to take photos of this establishment. I'm not sure what goes on in there but what ever it is they aren't subtle about it. Whenever I walk by I wonder how something can be Private and a Show at the same time.

This sign is in the 2nd window just in case your peripheral vision didn't pick up the word Nude. Both signs are pretty hard to miss at night.

On this day in 2004 HR Bob brushed up on The Law. He was walking around the office laughing and joking bout getting rid of everyone. It was funny because it was Bob. He was only 3 years early.

This is the street in front of our house. Yea street, not lake or pond. We had some rain and our sewers backed up. This happens whenever it rains down there because our sewer system was only designed to handle sprinkler runoff for when we over water our lawns (as we do in Southern California).

On this day in 2006 we visited Mom in Leasure World. Jenna and Eric and Josh were also visiting from Idaho. It's fun to get together with a fun family and you can see by the expression on Jenna's face. I hope that expression didn't leak any beverage out the nose. You have to time your drinking carefully when you are out with this bunch.

On this day in 2006 I was missing my friends from Disney so I arranged an ice skating get together. It was a lot of fun. Jason (pictured) and I got to catch up as well as a few of my other good Disney friends. Nosterdomdu and Captain America everyone!

San Francisco CA - My walk to work

One of my goals this year is to get to 185 lbs. I lost quite a bit during the last half of the year last year and I want to keep going until I feel too thin. 185 might not be that weight but it's my goal for now. Another one of my goals is to walk to work once a week. The walk is normally about 2.5 miles and I can do it in about 35-40 minutes (depending on how often I stop to take pictures). Today I decided to take the long way (3.8 miles) so I left a little early and took some snap shots on my way.

This is Lombard St. It is about 3/4 of a mile from my apartment. I have never walked down it but I plan to soon.

This is the top of Hyde Street looking down at Hyde Street Pier. It's very steep.

Half way down Hyde Street you can see Ghirardelli Square down there.

At the base of Hyde Street is The Buena Vista and the cable car turn around.

This is a shot of my building. It's the one directly in front. My office is on the second floor. You can't see my window because it's behind those trees.

I'm pretty lucky to be doing what I am doing where I am doing it. Sometimes with all of the work and stress I forget how lucky I am so I have to take a walk to remind myself.

On this day in 2006 we had a recording session in LA for our 2nd poker game. I wrote most of the script and helped direct the session. You can see Tony in the foreground working hard at editing the lines as they were re-interpreted by the voice talent. It's easier to do that way because you need the lines to be accurate for subtitling.

On this day in 2004 we took Larry (our dog) back to visit his family. We got Larry from a breeder and we went back to visit because Larry's sister had recently had puppies. It was a sea of cuteness and one picture was not enough so today you get three. Enjoy!

On this day in 2005 I took Donna to one of my favorite lunch places. HK Market. They have an awesome Korean Food Court there and I usually get the pork or beef plates with rice. On this day Donna was feeling Epicuriously adventures so she got the Cod Rowe soup. Also on this day Donna skipped lunch and we had something tasty for Dinner.

On this day Larry got fitted for his sweater. What Donna didn't know is that he was also distracting Donna so that Fox (our cat in the background) could drink Donna's beverage. They make a great team when they aren't fighting each other.

On this day in 2005 we were meeting with Howard Lederer for the first time regarding our first poker game. We took reference shots, talked about the game we were going to make, discussed hands and I got a few cards signed. Over the course of two poker games, I had many playing cards autographed by famous poker players. It was a fun 2 years.

On this day in 2007 we cleaned up the back yard garden for spring. Spring comes early in Southern California. We had to dig up the tomato plants. I composted the plants and we made fried green tomatoes with the green tomatoes. We try to keep things green. I miss our garden.....

On this day in 2008 we were working a ton to get our game done. We had dinner brought in every night and one night a week they would bring in The Taco Truck. We were able to order what ever we wanted so there were all kinds of eating contests and burrito comas. This is Matt putting in his order.

On this day in 2007 we filled some pots wit nice plants and put them on our porch. Little did we know that in 2 months we would be packing it all up and moving to San Francisco for new adventures.

On this day in 2007 we hosted a Super Bowl party and invited dogs and people. The people spent the day having a few beers and eating snacks. The dogs spent the day begging for the snacks. Great fun was had by all.

On this day in 2008 we walked the dogs to Lafayette Park after the rain had passed. I took a moment to snap this shoot looking back towards our apartment. We live on the hill that you can see in the background. The City is really nice just after it rains.

On this day in 2009 someone felt strong enough about politics to make a poster and the post it on a newspaper dispenser. If you look closely the newspaper dispenser is for The Onion. Recently The Onion discontinued their printed paper and now once again it is only online.
