On this day in 2007 I got my offer letter from LucasArts. I didn't know what was in the box so I opened it slowly and took pictures.
It was a LucasFilm Timbuk2 bag. I didn't know that Timbuk2 was all the rage in bags in San Francisco until I moved up. They turned out to be all the rage.

On this day in 2007 I was retrieving my arcade games from my former employer. Luckily Rob had a truck and offered to help get them to my house. It was a sad day but many of the adventures you have read about on this blog would have never have happened if that day didn't set them in motion. There can be good in everything, you just have to find it.

Look what I saw today!
San Francisco CA Mount Davidson
Today we climbed to the tallest place in The City. Mount Davidson stands 928ft. above sea level and is the highest natural place in The City. They say it is in about the geographic center of The City so you can get a nice 360 degree view. As you may be able to tell, it has recently become a goal of ours to scale all of the peaks in San Francisco. There are 44 named hills or peaks in San Francisco and we hope to get them all over the course of the next year. It should make a really nice blog when we are done.

San Francisco CA Tank Hill Park
Today we decided to climb Mount Sutro. It was on my list of things to do this year. On the way down we found Tank Hill Park. It had amazing views and a few rocks to stand on. It's 650 Ft. above sea level and looks down over pretty much the whole city. This is me doing my impression of the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Brazil. You can see The Golden Gate Bridge just below my right hand.

On this day in 2005 the Dodge Dart went into deep storage. It needed some work and I needed something more reliable. We have a second garage in Orange (which is 2 more than we have in San Francisco) so we put it in the garage and hoped to fix it up one day to drive on Sundays. Our move to San Francisco changed our plans and we sold it when we moved up here.

Look what I saw today!
San Francisco CA Union and Fillmore
Today I had to leave work a little early. I wanted to pick up some flowers and chocolates for Donna to remind her how much she likes me (not that she would be able to forget). I was standing at the bus stop with a bunch of flowers and a bag filled with chocolate and saw this intersection lit nicely. It was a bit of a struggle to get the camera out of my backpack but it was worth it. Oh and did I mention how many looks you get carrying flowers and chocolates in The Cow Hollow District? You get a lot! I guess Marina guys don't have time to buy flowers and chocolates.

On this day in 2003 Josh learned how to play Robotron: 2084. It's a lot tougher than most of the games he is used to playing. He enjoyed it. He also enjoys playing the Mario Brothers Machine. Sadly these machines don't fit in our apartment in San Francisco so they are sitting in a storage unit in Santa Ana.
