2 Posts in one month?

Yes! Donna and I are getting out and doing a lot more recently. We are getting more time to explore the city and the spring is here so fairs and festivals pop up like mushrooms overnight. We tried to hit many of them. While we were at one of the festivals we heard a visitor talking on her cell and she said, "there are festivals everywhere, I'm at one now!" We thought that was funny. Okay on with the pictures!

Jenna pointed out this misspelling of our street when she was out here and I finally took a picture of it.

We get into the Legion of Honor as well as the DeYoung with our pass and they let you take pictures at both of hem. Here is the Security guard on a self proclaimed break.

I really like taking closeups of carvings and sculptures as you will see.

A real Human Skull! Ohhhhh Coool!
I thought this would make a good desktop background. I change mine at work every few days.

I like Mirrors

Jeff and Laural went to the Legion of Honor with us. He likes to ham it up for the camera.

Donna on CalTrain for the first time heading to the Maker Fair

A Maker showing his make to us. This one used RF chips to select Web Pages. A chip is placed on the conveyor belt and the web pages changes. He hopes this idea can be used to make children's toys or make it easier for older people with memory problems to make phone calls or choose TV channels in a very tactile way.

This make is a little steel ball with a motor in it. It rolled around in this sand all day and made cool patterns.

Lots of cool electricity things at the maker fair

Bike tire LEDs. Very popular at Burning Man I hear.

This is a Jeep covered in Legos. Kids could attach more to the Jeep. Legos are very popular with makers.

Some maker fair attendees.

This is my ride to work at 8:50ish am

This is me walking home from work at 5am one morning. We had some long nights but those should be in the past for now.

Here is some street art in the Haight

One of the famous Hemp Clinics in the Haight. They may be closing soon. The State and the Feds can't seem to agree with each other and it makes things unclear.

We got to go to an Indy 4 Premier up here and they had a nice luncheon with props from the movie. Here is The Arc from Indy 4 and Indy 1

My friend and co-working Julio with his wife Gena.

Politics everywhere. There is going to be a big vote on rent control in the city. Right now rent control is in full effect in older buildings. They can only raise the rent by 2% a year.

Breakfast in The Mission District

We went to the Carnival Festival in The Mission. San Francisco has many fine policemen and woman. I think they do a fantastic job of keeping things sane but allowing the fun to happen.

Hair!

More of San Francisco's finest with some Carnival dancers in the background.

People in San Francisco can party hard. This was at 10am.

Waiting to be in the parade

I liked the sign here

Carnival is a good time to bring out your fanciest clothing

Oh there was a great line up of lowriders in the parade. I was lucky enough to shoot them with some great street art in the background.

Not really a low rider but cool

This was taken at the Muni Bus Yard. I wish they would let me in to run around in there for an hour. It's a really cool place. I took this through a security fence.

Well that is for now but I have much more coming. I will probably update much more over the summer.
