On this day in 2008 we walked up to Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. It's a great structure but the really cool part about it is the murals on the inside. The murals were paid for by the Public Works of Art Project. This project provided work during a time when paying jobs were needed to keep the economy going. The murals deal with labor in the US and are fantastic to see.
