Summer in San Francisco is usually foggy and cold. It has been pretty foggy and cold so far this summer. We are enjoying the events summer brings but we wish it was a bit warmer. Happily warmer weather is just a BART ride or car rental away. We have gotten out of The City a few times so far and plan on many more trips to the sun this summer.

We picked up 3 pairs of Giants tickets. Here we are at our first game. The Giants lost but we had fun.

Obama is the nations first Blue President in this artists mind.

Everyone knows that you learn Japanese faster when you are in Japan Town during the Cherry Blossom festival while wearing fuzzy Anime ears.

Some cute girls in the Cherry Blossom Parade.

We watched the Cosplay parade. Many will dress up, only 100 will be in the parade.

Here is my Berkley
Sign Fail. You can't really tell but this fence is about a foot from the door. I'm not how they missed the sign.

Every Sunday They Swing Dance in Golden Gate Park.

We got our bikes fixed up and went to Golden Gate Park to see the parts we had not seen. These are the peddle boats you can rent.

Me all bundled up drinking a cup of coffee in the court yard of the
DeYoung.

Donna is a bit more bundled than me. This was Memorial Day Weekend. Grrrrr no sun and no BBQ...

I thought this train picture was cool next to the Exit Sign that wanted to be just like the train.

Our Friends Darrin and Mark visited. We went to a Tea Shop on Polk St. and they had a sniff.

We happened to be out and about on the last Friday of the Month. We didn't now it was the last Friday of the Month until we saw
Critical Mass. We don't need to think about Critical Mass but people with cars do.

It's that time of year again!
Maker Fair!!! We took Darrin and Mark this year. A good time was had by all.

This person made a cool back lit puppet show. You can see my take on last year's Maker Fair
here.

These people make very realistic R2-D2 droids. Has there been a
Double Mint Commercial with droids yet? I think they should do one.

These kids were having fun on some sort of inflatable Make.

Someone made a really cool art piece using plastic soda bottles. You can read about it
here.

I liked this liquor store and the 2 manholes for some reason.

I thought this chandelier looked cool too.

Here is a good shot of Darrin at a local bar we went to.

I liked the shadow and color of this shot.

Our favorite Gelato shop in North Beach

The Palace of Fine Arts is open again after its restoration. It's as lovely as ever.

I rode an empty bus home the other night and had my camera so I did what anyone would do. I took pictures.

They had a small parade and a big Tuba.

This is a shot of an old Fire Truck. San Leandro was celebrating it's 100th year.

This might be my favorite picture ever. I think he was sneaking pictures of others as I was sneaking a picture of him.

This is the Cherry Queen and a guy in a top hat.

We went to a mall in San Leandro and they had a giant chess set. It was the most exciting chess match I have ever watched.

We went to
Harry's Hofbrau. It was a really fun place and the food was good too.

This must be Harry. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your Hofbrau good sir.
That's it for now but we many events and visitors in the coming weeks so I am sure we will have loads more pictures to share shortly.
Jon and Donna
