4th of July in The City

This year The 4th landed on Saturday so the Lucas Family Picnic was on Friday. It made for a nice 3 day weekend. Donna and I rented a car and headed into the heat. 2 years ago when we went it was like 100 degrees at The Ranch and 65 degrees in The City. This year it was much nicer at The Ranch. The fog even parted for us on the night of The 4th so we could see the fireworks. We could not ask for much more.

A nice shot of some of the grapes they grow at the ranch to make the wine.

Everyone likes ice cream and when it's free a line forms.

A few posts ago I brought you Extreme Chess, now I bring you Extreme Bocce Ball.

I am all about The 4th in my Capt. America shirt!

David won a ribbon but it wasn't for drinking wine.

There were all kinds of competitions and ribbons for all of the winners.

Brian says, "Free Brownie? Yes Please!"

Extremely cute Croquet.

Mike hams it up for the camera whenever he gets a chance.

On the night of the 4th we walked a few blocks and watched the fireworks over Hyde St. Pier.

If you stand in the right place you can watch 3 or 4 firework displays over the bay.

That's it for this small post but I have a ton of images I took on our Nebraska trip to post over the coming weeks.
