San Francisco! No Sun For You!
It's late June and summer is here! Only there is no sun to be seen. June, July and August are typically foggy in San Francisco. Some parts of the city see little direct sunlight during summer. When we first moved up we were told during these months by many people, "September is our Summer!" Maybe they are all told to repeat this to new residents to get them through the gloomy months. I have a good friend at work and his wife and Donna were talking about making the transition from Southern California to San Francisco. She too had a difficult time adjusting to the cold summers. So if you see little blue sky in the photos between now and September you will know why. C'mon September!
This was taken at the North Beach Street Fair. I was shooting Donna but the other lady lined up perfectly too
Donna and I ate breakfast near the fair and got talking to this man and his daughter. He started the conversation by asking about my camera. We talked the whole meal. He left just before us and said goodbye. Shortly after we found out from the waitress that he had paid for our breakfast and snuck off. We caught up with him at the fair and thanked him. People in San Francisco are among the nicest in the world.
This guy is a SF local. We see him everywhere with his dogs that have dyed hair. They are very cute and very focused on him. He played catch with them by counting to two and then saying "no not yet" for about 3 minutes and then saying "3 GO!". The dogs went nuts for this. After catch it was time for the swings. He put them all in the child safe swings and took turns pushing them. They seemed to like it.

Out and about in SF
As work hours decline and daylight hours increase we are getting out and doing quite a bit.
Last week we rented a convertible Cooper Mini and went to Muir Woods, Stinson beach, and The Marin Headlands. We also walked the 3rd part of the Barbary Coast Trail. It was cool because it ended at a park near our place that we take the dogs to. We also finally found time to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito. Once in Sausalito we ate lunch and then took the Ferry back to the Ferry Building.
I know, less typing more pictures! Here you go.
