One A Day - On This Day in 2009
San Francisco CA The ILM Halloween Party
On this day in 2009 we were at the ILM Halloween Party. We dressed up as Typing of the Dead Characters and found a Zombie to pose with. It's a fun party and it's one of the things that we will miss about not working for Lucas but the new adventures we are having outweigh anything that we miss from our past.

One A Day - On This Day in 2008
San Francisco CA LucasArts
On this day in 2008 Haden and the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed team received an award from Popular Science. It was a fun presentation and acknowledgment after working so hard on the game for so long.

One A Day - On This Day in 2009
San Francisco CA The Presidio
On this day in 2009 I took a photo out my office window at LucasArts. I like rainy days especially when I can be near a window and watch the drops run down the glass.

Look What I Saw Today!
San Francisco CA Crissy Field
Today is my first day of being unemployed. It was a busy one. I spent much of the morning talking to colleagues and companies. The game industry is amazing. It's times like this that you realize how many friends you have and each time it happens you have more friends than the last time so it's the perfect scenario.
On to the fun stuff, the pictures! A group of my amazing friends put together a BBQ for people that had been let go. It was last minute and many were busy but what a fun time it was. We cooked hot dogs, enjoyed the sun, played with the dogs and had a few beverages. Some people from LucasArts (the place where I worked as early as yesterday) heard about it and walked over on their lunch to hang with us and eat our hot dogs. It was great!
EJ came by on lunch and brought some carrot cake. I jumped at the chance to be in yet another photo with him and Eva.
I tied the dogs together so they couldn't reach an all out sprint without cooperating. They didn't figure it out in the time that we were there.
What a great way to start a long weekend. Thanks for making it happen Sarah and Eva!

Look What I Saw Today!
San Francisco CA First and Last Day
Today was my last day at LucasArts.
My last day at Lucas. I am looking leaner and yet still happy. I wore my LucasArts Shirt and Hat to celebrate the event. It was a hard day for many but without change, things could never get better. I'm not saying things were bad but they can always be better. I will let you all know what the next adventure will be when I find out.
Today was my last day at LucasArts.

One A Day - On This Day in 2009
The Presidio CA Letterman Digital Arts Center (LDAC)
On this day in 2009 I took a striking photo of one of the buildings at LDAC where I work. George has leased the land where the Letterman Hospital used to be and built 4 of the most environmentally efficient buildings with the hope to attract digital art companies (his and others) to this location. With the economy the way it is right now a lot of the space is empty.

One A Day - On This Day in 2007
San Francisco CA The LucasFilm Parking Garage

On this day in 2007 we were able to get access to Darth Vader's Actual cape and take some photographs. Devin put on the cape and performed some extreme light saber moves and we took photos. We used them to tweak our cloth sim so that it would look as close to Darth Vader's cape as possible for the first level of TFU1.

Orange CA Our House
On this day in 2007 I got my offer letter from LucasArts. I didn't know what was in the box so I opened it slowly and took pictures.
It was a LucasFilm Timbuk2 bag. I didn't know that Timbuk2 was all the rage in bags in San Francisco until I moved up. They turned out to be all the rage.

One A Day - On This Day in 2008
San Francisco CA The LDAC Parking Garage (where I work)
On this day in 2008 we were working a ton to get our game done. We had dinner brought in every night and one night a week they would bring in The Taco Truck. We were able to order what ever we wanted so there were all kinds of eating contests and burrito comas. This is Matt putting in his order.

San Francisco CA The Presidio 2008
This is EJ. He is holding the Popular Science Award for Home Entertainment Innovation. Our game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed won one of the categories. They came out and presented it to us and we clapped and patted each other on the back. This photo also made it into the 2008 LucasFilm yearbook. I am proud of both accomplishments.

This is me with a few of the programmers (engineers if you like) at House of Prime Rib. It was Alex's (far right) last day so we had to send him off in style.

Spring in the medium sized diverse city
Spring has sprung and I had my camera (both of em) ready. I don't have much to to talk about so I will let my camera do the talking (along with the captions I put under the pictures).

A Typical Day at LucasArts
Just a quick post to share something special and fun. The last week of the year we had a contest. They broke us into 8 person teams and allowed us to make a game in a week. The teams were made up of all divisions at LucasArts so we had marketing and fiance and other areas on our teams which was cool. They encouraged us to market our game (internally) so we went all out and brought in a few of the 501st to hang around while we were showing our game. Our game involved treating Storm Troopers poorly so we dressed them up in bandages and crutches. It was a big hit and created a great buzz in the office. Many pictures were taken that day. When we take pictures at work it's always a good idea to get them approved for showing. Enjoy.
