One A Day - On This Day in 2005
Irvine CA Point of View Inc.
On this day in 2005 we brought Paul Darden in for a voice over session. Paul is on the right. He is a somewhat famous poker player. John and Paul were discussing something on the couch in my office as I listened on from my desk and also took this photo.

Sioux City Iowa Argosy Casino
On this day in 2009 I was in Nebraska for a family reunion and there was a place to play poker within driving distance. You know what that means right? Yea I hopped in the rental car as the reunion party died down and played a bit of poker. I like to get a poker chip from each casino I play at so on this night I added to my collection.

On this day we decorated our Howard Lederer sign with stuff. He is wearing a Krispy Kreme hat and eating Fatburger Fries. The following day he was sporting a sign that said, "I'm all in for fried foods."

One A Day - On This Day in 2006
Irvine CA Point of View

On this day in 2006 we were finishing up a poker video game. This is an awesome set up that allowed us to test a 6-12 players at once. Our game supported tournaments with up to 24 players (if memory serves) and we were able to test 12 players on our end and then we had a large group of testers at Crave helping us out on their end. It was a lot of fun. In the photo Jon is testing a PSP connectivity issue.

Las Vegas NV The Amazon Room at the Rio
On this day in 2005 I was in Vegas for work. I was there to photograph poker pros during the World Series of Poker and being me, I took a few extra shots. Here is a shot showing how huge The Amazon room is. If you follow poker you can probably pick out a half dozen pros in this shot.
Here is a shot of a cash game going on. That stack of bills in front of the guy with his head down are all $100 bills. It was a pretty big found it interesting that I could stand there and watch and take photos all I wanted. The accessibility of poker at a live event is pretty amazing.

Some Grocery Store in Ca during the poker boom

On this day in 2005 the poker boom was in full swing and it was everywhere. This is a Knob Creek display at a grocery store. It really got out of hand there for a bit and I tried to take a photo of each instance.

Las Vegas NV The Mirage WPT Final Table
On this day in 2005 I was in Vegas for work and took some time to walk by this Final Table. It may have been the PPT Table. I can't remember but if you look, there are quite a few famous players at this table. I was playing in the poker room and not in the tournament.

Orange CA Inside our scanner

On this day in 2006 I felt the need to scan as many of my p0ker chips as I could. I take a poker chip from each casino I play at. It turns a fun hobby into an even more fun hobby. I have chips from 5 different states and many many different casinos. The colors didn't turn out very well in this but I didn't think that I would be posting it on the interwebs for the world to see at the time I did it.

Los Angeles CA Amir Vahedi's
On this day in 2005 I was grabbing up the last few reference shots for our poker game. I was fortunate enough to go to Amir Vadedi's house and meeting with him. He was a very nice man and a solid poker player. Sadly he passed away in January of this year.

On this day in 2005 the games were good on Party Poker. It was the middle of the poker boom and no one knew how to play including me. If you know anything about poker your mouth should be watering just looking at this screen shot.

Los Angeles CA Keith Arem Studios
On this day we did voice recording for our poker video game. Erin Ness was one of the pros so we had to get her voice. She was a lot of fun to work with. After the session we took the obligatory "point at the screen" press photos.

Irvine CA Some Random Store with Poker Stuff
On this day in 2004 we were enjoying the start of the poker boom. Everywhere you looked there was poker. The fact that poker was everywhere fed the poker boom. I am looking forward to the next poker boom when the government finally figures out how much money they can make regulating it.

Las Vegas CA
On this day in 2005 we were meeting with Howard Lederer for the first time regarding our first poker game. We took reference shots, talked about the game we were going to make, discussed hands and I got a few cards signed. Over the course of two poker games, I had many playing cards autographed by famous poker players. It was a fun 2 years.

Irvine CA Some Photography Studio

On this day in 2006 we did a photo shoot for our poker game. We needed reference shots of Annie Duke and we didn't have a lighting set up so we outsourced. She was very nice and not shy at all.

Here is me trying on my new Poker Tie. I know it was only the 24th but I couldn't wait to open a present. This picture is actually in the credits for World Championship Poker Featuring Howard Lederer All In. There is a virtual poker table you can scroll around and our photos are placed on it. It's pretty cool.

Irvine CA 2005 Point of View
On this day in 2005 we had a thriving poker game at Point of View. We played once a week and we often had 8-10 regulars. It was a lot of fun. On this night I set my camera to take a picture every minute. This is one of the shots. In the photos you can see the chip stacks raising and lowering as the night went on.
