On this night we partied like it was 1999 because it was 1999. This is Donna and I on a New Year's Eve Hornblower Cruise around Newport Bay. We were invited by a few friends from Point of View Inc. It was a really fun night and I appreciate the invitation to this day.
On this day in 2006 Tony and I were in Las Vegas with a few others from work. We had a great time by the look on Tony's face.

I don't know exactly when this was taken but I know it wasn't taken in December. This is a photo from one of our famous Disney Surf Trips. Some good times were had in San Onofre on a yearly basis.
This is Tom's first Christmas. We bought him a Christmas Sweater, put him on a Christmasy blanket and took his picture in front of a Christmas Tree (it's actually the top of an evergreen tree that was on the side of our apartment.) Merry Christmas!
Here is me trying on my new Poker Tie. I know it was only the 24th but I couldn't wait to open a present. This picture is actually in the credits for World Championship Poker Featuring Howard Lederer All In. There is a virtual poker table you can scroll around and our photos are placed on it. It's pretty cool.
Here we are on Baker Beach. It's a great place and the views are fantastic. Be careful because it is a nude beach as well, but on this day it was cold so no nudes was good nudes.

For Christmas 06 Point of View asked me to BBQ for the company Holiday Party. I begged borrowed and stole 4 large charcoal BBQs and smoked up 8 turkeys for 100 some odd people. It turned out great and I still get emails for the recipe.
I had my big camera with my fast lens today and shot his walking home. This is right around the corner from our apartment. I like the way the light is coming through the scaffolding. I really like the lens. I can take pictures in pretty dark places without using a tri-pod.
On this day in 2005 we went to an Italian Greyhound get together. It was really fun to see about 30 IGs running around. Tom and Larry got their photo taken with Santa as a jealous dog looked on.
On this day in 2004 we celebrated the December Birthdays at POV. Mike, Lea and Steven all had their day in the spotlight. It was a fun tradition. Corny but fun.
If you know me, you know I like playing poker. We had a regular game at Point of View. In this shot Tony shows off his card flair.
Here is a parking sign that sums up driving in The City for me. ACK! I don't understand peoples desire to drive to places here if you live here. Donna and I kept a car for 4 months (only because we were scared to be without a car) but the fact that we never used it and that we paid $250 a month just to park it made us think. We have been very happy with our decision ever since. We have saved money, seen more things from walking and taking the bus and gotten to know our local car rental company.
Donna and I were out and about in Union Square and happened upon the Santa Pub Crawl. I guess they do this in other places too. Sounds like a fun time if you like drinking and dressing like Santa.
Here we have the house all decorated for Christmas. One of our morning rituals is to read the paper and have coffee. We do miss the LA Times.

On this day we went to Joe's Crab Shack to celebrate Lea's 31st birthday (I think....). Lea always got the name of the place wrong or she was just making fun of Bob. Lea had to put on a Hula Skirt, Feather Boa and Coconuts and dance around. It was funny.
In December of 2008 Donna and I went to Disney World with our friend Darrin. Here is a good shot of Donna just after watching Muppet Vision 3D.
Another photo from the past. This was pre 1994 (the year Donna and I got married). We had a large group of Disney friends go to Knott's Berry Farm for some fun. We did all of the things that caused us headaches while we were working and it was fun.
So another December day with no good documentation so I thought I would share a photo of my first E3. This was a few months before joining the Video Game Industry. I went with a friend that I would eventually work with. Now I am working with friends that worked on this game. 1000 points of light coming together.
Here is a photo I took for my ILM Photography Class I just finished. My assignment was to use the Ansel Adams Zone System to take a photo. I did and it turned out pretty good.
This was taken at the California Academy of Science in Golden Gate Park. This was taken for my ILM photography class. My assignment was to take a photo and then use different techniques to change it to Black and White. This was the best one.
This was taken at the Long Beach Aquarium. Their Jellyfish collection is fantastic.
Another day where I don't have anything truly interesting from the past so here is the recent past. I just recently made a tilt-shift lens (DIY style) and took it out for a test run on the way to work. You can see the unique photos it takes. In the photo only the upper left of the image is in focus. This is made by tilting the lens so that it's not parallel to the image sensor. Next year I will be able to post more and they will truly be from the past.

Well another day where I didn't document anything cool in the past so here is a current picture. We went to The Presidio Social Club on the day after Thanksgiving to have a nice cocktail. If you come to San Francisco I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend you let us know when you are coming.
For Thanksgiving 2002 we drove down to Palm Springs and visited Mom and Bill. It was a lot of fun and the day after Donna and I were able to take the aerial tram to the top of Mount San Jacinto.
This was taken at the soon to be closed (I think) Expo Design Center. We were looking for a cool carpet for our bedroom. We found this one and really liked it. We still like it even though it's in storage now.
In 2004 we visited Donna's parents for Thanksgiving. We decided to take a family photo and included the dogs.
Jenna, Eric and Josh visited us in 2007. We showed the around and even took them to our favorite Dim Sum place in China Town. Josh wasn't very fond of the food because it was so different. He took a bit of Pork Bun and then spit it out and accused us of trying to make him throw up. He cheered up for the cable car ride though.

On this day in 2004 The Nintendo DS came out. I was there to grab up mine. Game console launch days are always so much fun.

On this day in 2005 we had a thriving poker game at Point of View. We played once a week and we often had 8-10 regulars. It was a lot of fun. On this night I set my camera to take a picture every minute. This is one of the shots. In the photos you can see the chip stacks raising and lowering as the night went on.
On this day last year Donna and I went sailing on the Alma. It was a great trip and I highly recommend it. We passed by the Golden Gate Bridge at the perfect time and I snapped a shot.
There are raccoons in the Presidio and I have screenshots to prove it. They were spying on me while I waited at the bus stop.
On this day Tony and I went to our friend Sheri's Poker Party. I black cat was dancing on a poker table. I took this as an omen of good luck because I had already taken 2nd in the tournament. Oh and for the record, I am one of the lucky poker players that isn't superstitious.
In 2004 we were all working on Narc for Midway. Narc was a tough project but I am happy to have it behind me. I now now that every project I work on will be better than the situation with Narc. Recently both Point of View and Midway shut their doors. I hope everyone finds a new job that they are happy with.
